Summation

Stress-Responsive NAC gene 2 (SNAC2), also known as OsNAC6 or ONAC048, is encoded by the Os01g0884300 gene; it was first identified from upland rice IRA109 (Oryza sativa L. ssp japonica) (Hu et al., 2008). SNAC2 expression is induced by drought, salinity, cold, wounding, and abscisic acid (ABA) treatment. The SNAC2-overexpressing plants showed enhanced cold and salt tolerance and higher sensitivity to ABA (Hu et al., 2008. SERF1 overexpression lines showed enhanced expression of  SNAC2 (Schmidt et al., 2013). its expression is upregulated in OsDRAP1 overexpression lines (Wang et al., 2021).
