Summation

YSL15 play important role in iron homeostasis during early growth stages in rice. Expression of YSL15 was observed in epidermis/exodermis and phloem cells of rice roots under Fe deficient conditions and only in phloem under Fe sufficiency. OsYSL15 is a dominant Fe(III)-DMA transporter for iron uptake from rhizosphere and also for phloem transport of Fe.
