TOM2 is plasma membrane transporter involved in internal transport of DMA as well as efflux to cell exterior. Expression of TOM2 was observed in basal parts of shoots indicating transport of phytosiderophores from xylem to phloem, vascular bundles, root radicles, developing tissues during seed maturation and germination.
