text	OsDREB2A transcription factor is a positive regulator of drought and salt tolerance. Induced over-expression of OsDREB2A improves drought tolerance in rice. SERF1 Is a direct transcriptional regulator of OsDREB2A gene, as it has been shown to binds to the promoter of this gene (Schmidt et al., 2013). In�SERF1�overexpression plants under salt stress after 3 h show upregulation of OsDREB2A, whereas, in serf1 mutant plant the expression of OsDREB2A is not induced by salt.
