text	In salvage pathway, L-arabinose, a product of cell wall degradation is recycled. This pathway contains two steps. In the first step, L-arabinose is converted to beta-L-arabinose 1-phosphate by L-arabinokinase and in the second step, beta-L-arabinose 1-phosphate is converted into UDP-L-arabinose by UDP-sugar pyrophosphorylase.
