Summation

Once Hd3a/RFT1 florigen enters a shoot apical cell, it binds 14-3-3 proteins in the cytosol. Then Hd3a/RFT1?14-3-3 complex enters the nucleus, forming a complex with OsFD1. This complex is retained in the nucleus and activates OsMADS box genes, leading to floral induction (Taoka et al., 2011; Peng et al., 2021).
