Nuclear accumulation of the RFT1:Gf14:OsFD1 complex required phosphorylated OsFD1. OsCIPK3 mediates OsFD1 phosphorylation. RFT1:Gf14:OsFD1 hexamer is the FAC (Florigen activation complex) component that predominantly activates downstream MADS-box genes, initiating the reproductive processes under LDs (Peng et al., 2021).
