Summation

At low auxin levels, IAA13 binds to ARF19 through AUX/IAA domains III and IV, repressing the activation of LBD1-8 transcription. However, at optimal auxin levels, IAA13 is degraded by proteolysis, and ARF19 activates LBD1-8 transcription, which then allows the auxin responses, including the formation of lateral roots (Yamauchi et al., 2019).
