Summation

OSH1, a transcription factor that regulates genes involved in shoot formation during embryogenesis. OSH1 express in ventral region of globular embryo before organogenesis. After organogenesis has initiated, expression of OSH1 is observed in shoot apical meristem, epiblast, radicle, and their intervening tissues in descending strength of expression level with embryonic maturation. OSHI may function as a regulator switching on and off the developmental program of embryonic cells located in a specific region (Sato et al., 1996).
