Summation

HAZ1 is considered as a molecular marker that visualizes the radial axis in early embryogenesis in rice. HAZ1 shows radially symmetric expression at globular embryo stage where stronger expression in the outer layers of the globular embryo and weaker expression in the inner part of the embryo is observed (Ito et al., 2004). Expression level of OsHAZ1 significantly decreases in Osgcd1/+ mutant embryos (Huang et al., 2017).
