OsFLO2 play important role in grain development as grain size was significantly reduced in FLO2 mutant lines as compared to the wild type (89% on average), as were both grain weight and grain length (She et al., 2010). Transcript of OsFLO2 was found abundant in immature seeds and mature leaves, but not abundant in panicles before heading, stems, and roots.
