OsWRKY78 might play important roles during seed development as seeds from OsWRKY78 RNAi transgenic lines and mutant lines show a shorter length as compared to wild type plants (Zhang et al., 2011). OsWRKY78 participates in stem elongation regulation and seed development, but not in starch regulatory metabolism.
