Summation

SRL1 gene encodes plasma membrane located putative glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein which regulates leaf rolling through inhibiting the formation of bulliform cells by negatively regulating the expression of genes encoding vacuolar H+-ATPase subunits and H+-pyrophosphatase (Xiang et al., 2012). Mechanism of regulation is not known yet.
