Summation

OsPT4, a Pht1 family gene, is involved in As(V) uptake and plays an important role in As(V) absorption. Higher transcript level of OsPT4 was observed in rice plants under As(V) stress. Overexpression of OsPT4 significantly increases the As concentration in roots and shoots, and showed higher As(V) sensitivity at high As(V) levels (Ye at al., 2017).
