Summation

OsRFL promotes the transition of vegetative apical meristem to an inflorescence meristem. Significant reduction in RNAiRFL lines showed significant delay in flowering and drastically reduced height. Complete knockdown of RFL gene showed failure of inflorescence meristem specification and growth. RFL is regulated by SPL14 and regultes panicle branching regulators, hormone signaling, metabolic gene regulators.
