Summation

In normal condition SPX1 expression was observed in roots and leaves. Expression of SPX1 in root is induced by Pi deficient condition. Overexpression of SPX1 suppresses induction of PSI genes and itself controlled by OsPHR2. Thus, OsSPX1 act as negative feed back factor of PSI signalling pathway in rice. OsSPX1 positively regulates the response of OsSPX2, 3 and 5 to Pi starvation signaling.
