Summation

Out of six NAAT genes, OsNAAT1 has nicotianamine aminotransferase activity. Strong expression of OsNAAT1 gene was observed in Fe-deficient roots and shoots as compared to Fe-sufficient conditions and in the phloem companion cells of Fe-deficient leaves.
