Summation

ETERNAL TAPETUM 1 (EAT1) has essential role in programmed tapetal cell death and pollen formation. Hetrodimer of TDR and TIP2 regulate the expression of EAT1. EAT1 competes with TIP2 for the similar protein binding sites on TDR1, therefore, feedback inhibit TRD1-TIP2 interaction and EAT1 expression.
