Plastid glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (phosphorylating) catalyzes the reversible reaction of D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate, NAD+, and orthophosphate to form 1,3-bisphospho-D-glycerate and NADPH + H+. The rice proteins annotated here have not been studied experimentally - their association into a complex, plastid localization, and catalytic activity are inferred from the properties of their Arabidopsis thaliana orthologues.
