Cytosolic glucose 6-phosphate isomerases catalyze the reversible interconversion of alpha-D-glucose 6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate. The rice proteins annotated here have not been studied experimentally - their properties are inferred from those of their Arabidopsis thaliana orthologues.
