Plant Reactome in Biocuration 2026 Conference

The global biological data science community will gather this April for the 19th International Biocuration Meeting, taking place from April 20–24, 2026, in Cape Town. This important event brings together biocurators, database developers, researchers, and trainees from around the world to exchange ideas, share innovations, and strengthen collaborations that advance the stewardship of biological data. 

Dr. Sushma Naithani from our team will present a talk, 'Plant Reactome Knowledgebase: 2026 Updates and Future Direction'. Her talk will showcase recent developments in the Plant Reactome, a key resource for plant biology researchers, featuring curated pathways and analysis tools. The presentation will provide insights into new features, expanded datasets, and the evolving vision for enabling discovery and data-driven research in plant science.

Beyond formal sessions, the meeting is a chance to connect with the broader community. We look forward to meeting our community members, biocurators, postdocs, and students, and having one-to-one interactions to learn about the community's needs and build collaborations within the AgBioData community and beyond. These exchanges foster collaboration, mentorship, and the sharing of FAIR practices, which are essential to advancing the field.
